Description

The S355MCS-G2 is Evolution's most advanced metal cutting mitre chop saw ever built. Designed for professional fabricators, welders and metalworkers who demand uncompromising accuracy, repeatability and productivity, it combines industry-leading cold-cut technology with a new generation of EVOMAX performance innovations.

Evolution's unique mitre cutting system allows precise angle cuts without repositioning the workpiece. The ±46° mitre base, stainless steel mitre gauge and heavy-duty clamping system make it easy to achieve fast, repeatable cuts while maintaining exceptional accuracy across a wide range of fabrication tasks..

Unlike traditional abrasive saws, Evolution cold-cut technology delivers fast, clean and cool cuts with virtually no sparks, no abrasive dust and a smooth burr-free finish. Materials remain cool to the touch and ready for immediate handling, assembly or welding, reducing secondary finishing work and helping fabricators work more efficiently.

Developed From Fabricator Feedback
Generation 2 builds on the success of the original award winning S355MCS by introducing the features professional users asked for most.

New EVOMAX blade technology, EVOMAX Intelligent Motor Technology, an integrated Shadowline Cut Guide, electronic blade brake and a reinforced fabrication platform deliver meaningful improvements in blade life, cutting accuracy, productivity and operator experience.

Central to these upgrades is the new EVOMAX Performance System, combining EVOMAX Intelligent Motor Technology with an EVOMAX Long-Life Cermet Carbide Blade to maximise cutting performance and blade life. Active blade speed optimisation extends blade life by up to 30%, while the supplied premium blade has been independently tested to deliver over 3,500 cuts and up to 50% more cuts per blade than leading competitors, helping reduce downtime and lower operating costs.

The S355MCS-G2 also introduces an integrated Shadowline Cut Guide, projecting the exact blade path onto the workpiece for faster alignment and greater cutting confidence. Combined with the reinforced fabrication platform, dual quick-release clamps and variable-position cutting head, it delivers the precision, durability and productivity professional fabricators expect from Evolution's flagship metal cutting saw.

The result is the most advanced S355MCS ever built, setting a new benchmark for professional cold-cut metal fabrication.

Features

Accurate Mitre Cuts Made Easy
Precise angle cuts without repositioning the workpiece.
The S355MCS-G2's unique ±46° mitre system allows the saw head to move through the required angle while keeping the material securely clamped in position. Unlike traditional chop saws that require the workpiece to be repositioned, the precision mitre base, stainless steel mitre scale and pre-set angle stops make it easy to achieve fast, repeatable and highly accurate fabrication cuts with minimal setup time.

Fast, Clean & Cool Cold-Cut Technology
A better alternative to abrasive cutting.
Evolution's cold-cut technology transforms metal fabrication by producing fast, accurate cuts without the heat, sparks and dust associated with abrasive saws. The supplied EVOMAX blade leaves a smooth burr-free finish that is cool to the touch and ready for immediate handling, assembly or welding, helping reduce finishing time and improve productivity.

NEW EVOMAX Performance System
Engineered to maximise blade life and cutting performance.
Generation 2 introduces the EVOMAX Performance System, combining EVOMAX Intelligent Motor Technology with an EVOMAX Long-Life Cermet Carbide Blade. Active blade speed optimisation extends blade life by up to 30%, while the premium 80-tooth blade has been independently tested to deliver over 3,500 cuts through mild steel and up to 50% more cuts per blade than leading competitors. The result is lower operating costs, less downtime and consistently exceptional cut quality throughout the life of the blade.

Developed from real-world fabrication feedback, the EVOMAX Performance System focuses on the two things professional users value most: exceptional cut quality and longer blade life. By optimising the relationship between motor performance and blade technology, the S355MCS-G2 delivers a new benchmark for cold-cut metal fabrication.

NEW Shadowline Cut Guide
See exactly where the blade will cut.
The integrated Shadowline Cut Guide projects the exact blade path onto the workpiece, making alignment faster, easier and more accurate. Permanently aligned and adjustment-free, it provides a clear visual reference for greater confidence and repeatability on every cut.

Built For Professional Fabrication
Engineered for exceptional accuracy, stability and repeatability.
The S355MCS-G2 is built around a reinforced fabrication platform designed to deliver consistent accuracy in demanding workshop environments. A strengthened steel base and fence assembly with additional reinforcing ribs minimises flex under load, creating a rigid and dependable foundation for precise cutting.

The heavy-duty multi-axis clamping system securely holds a wide range of material shapes and sizes. Dual sliding front clamps provide three axes of adjustment, while supplied V-block adaptors support round stock and the height-adjustable clamp rail accommodates larger workpieces. A quick-release top clamp creates a stable three-point clamping system for maximum control.

Heavy-duty ACME threads ensure smooth adjustment and long-term durability, while premium knurled fence and clamp faces securely grip the workpiece to prevent movement and improve cut accuracy. The result is fast, repeatable fabrication cuts with the confidence that every component will fit as intended.

Variable Position Cutting Head
Optimise the blade path for maximum efficiency.
The patented three-position cutting head allows the blade position to be adjusted to suit different material sizes and profiles. By optimising blade engagement throughout the cut, the system improves cutting efficiency, reduces unnecessary blade wear and helps maximise blade life.

Soft Start & Electronic Brake
Enhanced safety and improved operator control.
Soft start technology reduces start-up load and motor stress while helping prevent nuisance breaker trips. The electronic blade brake rapidly stops the blade after the trigger is released, improving safety, convenience and productivity between cuts.

Workshop Accuracy. Jobsite Flexibility.
Professional fabrication performance wherever the work takes you.
Unlike many fabrication machines that are confined to a fixed workstation, the S355MCS-G2 combines professional cutting capacity with a compact footprint and integrated carry handle, making it easy to move around the workshop or transport between locations. Paired with the optional MCS Wheeled Stand, it becomes a highly mobile fabrication solution without compromising on accuracy, stability or cutting performance.

Engineered For Daily Demands
Built for everyday performance in demanding environments.
An ergonomic horizontal handle and trigger position provide a natural operating stance that reduces fatigue during repetitive cutting tasks, while the safety lock-off trigger helps prevent accidental activation. Convenient onboard tool storage keeps essential tools close at hand for blade changes and adjustments, helping maintain productivity throughout the working day.

Complete Your Fabrication Setup
Accessories designed to get even more from your S355MCS-G2.
The S355MCS-G2 is part of a complete fabrication system. From mobility and material support to specialist blades and workshop accessories, Evolution offers a range of products designed to help you work faster, more accurately and more efficiently.

MCS Wheeled Stand
Purpose-built for the S355MCS range, the folding wheeled stand improves portability, supports longer material and provides a comfortable working height in the workshop or on site.

EVOMAX & Specialist Metal Cutting Blades
Expand the capabilities of your saw with premium blades for mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and thin steel applications. Designed to deliver maximum performance, blade life and cut quality across a wide range of materials.

Magnetic Chip Collector
Quickly collect and dispose of steel chips and swarf to maintain a cleaner, safer and more efficient workspace.
