Description

Cut through timber, mild steel, aluminium, non-ferrous metals and plastic without being restricted by a power cable. The Evolution R150RCP-Li 18V Cordless Reciprocating Saw is a compact and versatile choice for demolition, renovation, garden clearance and everyday cutting jobs around the home or jobsite.

Weighing just 1.93kg without the battery, the R150RCP-Li is easy to manoeuvre when working in confined spaces or at awkward angles. Large soft-grip handles provide a secure two-handed grip, while the safety lock-off button helps prevent accidental starts.

The variable-speed trigger gives you intuitive control from 0–2,600 strokes per minute, allowing you to adjust the cutting speed to suit the blade and material. Its 25mm stroke length delivers efficient cutting through wood, metal and plastic, while the adjustable pivoting contact plate sits against the workpiece for greater stability and reduced vibration.

A tool-free quick-release blade clamp makes changing blades fast and straightforward. Simply twist the clamp collar to release the fitted blade and install the blade required for your next material.

The saw is supplied with one multi-material reciprocating saw blade and one thin-steel blade. Using the supplied multi-material blade, it can cut wood up to 150mm thick. Fit the optional Evolution wood-cutting blade to achieve its maximum 230mm wood-cutting capacity.

Powered by the Evolution EXT 18V battery system, the R150RCP-Li can share compatible batteries with other tools across the EXT cordless range. Choose the tool-only option if you already own a suitable battery and charger, or select a loaded bundle to get everything needed to start cutting.

Choose your battery bundle

The R150RCP-Li is available as a tool-only option or as a loaded bundle with an EXT 18V battery and fast charger.

Choose the 2Ah battery bundle for a lighter setup that is particularly convenient for shorter cutting jobs and working in awkward positions. The supplied fast charger takes the 2Ah battery from 0% to 100% charge in only 30 minutes.

For longer cutting sessions between charges, choose the higher-capacity 4Ah battery bundle. Using the supplied fast charger, the 4Ah battery charges from 0% to 100% in only 50 minutes.

Already own compatible Evolution or Erbauer EXT tools? Choose the tool-only version and use your existing EXT 18V batteries and charger.

Cutting wood with the R150RCP-Li

Choose a reciprocating saw blade suitable for the type and thickness of wood being cut. Secure the workpiece whenever possible and position the saw squarely against it. Keep the contact plate pressed against the surface and guide the blade through the wood using steady, even pressure.

The supplied multi-material blade cuts wood up to 150mm thick. For larger timber, pruning and other dedicated wood-cutting applications, the optional Evolution wood blade increases the maximum wood-cutting capacity to 230mm.

Cutting metal with the R150RCP-Li

Fit the appropriate metal-cutting blade and secure the workpiece before beginning the cut. Start at a lower speed to establish the cut, then adjust the trigger pressure as required. Keep the contact plate against the material to improve stability and reduce vibration.

When cutting metal, apply a suitable cutting lubricant along the cutting line to help prevent the blade and material from overheating.
