Description

Step up from an angle grinder with the Evolution R150DCT-PRO 150mm Electric Disc Cutter. Purpose-built for cutting paving, masonry and porcelain, its dedicated two-handed design offers improved control, balance and working posture compared with using a grinder adapted with a masonry blade.

The powerful 1600W motor and 150mm blade provide a maximum cutting depth of 53mm, allowing common paving slabs and tiles to be cut in a single pass. Its belt-drive system helps reduce vibration and improves the balance of the machine, while the wheeled metal skid plate supports and guides the cutter across the material for straighter, more accurate results.

The integrated dual-sided water-suppression system delivers water directly to both sides of the blade and cutting area, helping control airborne dust at source while cooling the blade and material. A manual flow-control valve allows water delivery to be adjusted at the tool, while the supplied universal hose connection and fittings make it straightforward to connect to a suitable water supply. When fitted with Evolution’s specialist 150mm Porcelain & Tile Diamond Blade, this makes the R150DCT-PRO particularly well suited to cutting modern porcelain paving.

An active load indicator provides real-time feedback as you cut, helping you maintain an effective cutting speed without overloading the motor. The rubber overmould grip provides comfortable, controlled handling, while the integrated rafter hook offers convenient storage between cuts.

Soft-start technology provides a smooth, controlled start, and the electronic blade brake rapidly stops the blade after the trigger is released. A longer 3.5m power cable provides additional working reach around the jobsite.

Supplied with an upgraded Evolution Endurance Segmented Diamond Blade, the R150DCT-PRO is the complete compact cutting solution for landscaping, renovation and general building work where performance, control and dust management are priorities.

Blade and material guidance

The included 150mm Endurance Segmented Diamond Blade features 30% more diamond than Evolution’s Essential blade and is suitable for demanding cutting across concrete, brick, paving slabs and other common masonry materials.

For cutting porcelain, fit the appropriate specialist 150mm porcelain diamond blade and connect the integrated water-suppression system to a suitable water supply. Delivering water directly to the blade helps keep the blade and material cool while reducing dust and the risk of chipping.

Dust-control guidance

Use the integrated water-suppression system for wet cutting or connect a compatible dust extractor to the 25mm port when cutting dry, subject to the appropriate working method and PPE.
The integrated water-suppression system helps control airborne dust at source and supports compliance with jobsite dust-control requirements when used as part of an appropriate working method. Water suppression does not capture all respirable silica dust, so users should complete a suitable risk assessment and wear appropriate respiratory protective equipment.

Features

  • Dual-sided water suppression: Delivers water directly to both sides of the blade to help reduce airborne dust and cool the blade and cutting area.
  • Manual water-flow control: Allows water delivery to be adjusted at the tool to suit the application and use water more efficiently.
  • Universal water connection: Supplied with a universal hose connector and the required fittings for straightforward connection to a suitable water supply. Compatible with the Evolution dust suppression water bottles.

  • Endurance Diamond Blade included: Supplied with an upgraded 150mm segmented diamond blade featuring 30% more diamond than Evolution’s Essential blade for demanding cutting across concrete, brick, paving and masonry.
  • Overload Protection Technology: Provides real-time feedback when excessive pressure is applied, helping the operator maintain an effective cutting rate while protecting the motor from unnecessary overload.
  • Wheeled metal skid plate: Supports and guides the cutter smoothly across the workpiece, helping maintain a straight, accurate cut while protecting the underside of the tool.
  • Balanced belt-drive system: Positions the motor away from the blade to improve weight distribution and helps reduce vibration for smoother, more controlled cutting.
Rubber overmould grip: Provides a comfortable, secure hold for improved control throughout the cut.
  • Integrated rafter hook: Provides a convenient way to hang and store the cutter between uses.
  • Soft-start technology: Gradually increases the motor speed to reduce the initial torque reaction when starting the cutter.
  • Electronic blade brake: Rapidly stops the rotating blade after the trigger is released.
  • 3.5m power cable: Provides an additional metre of working reach compared with the R150DCT and R150DCT-SE.
  • Protected internal components: Sealed electronics, protected air intakes, high-airflow cooling and drainage channels help protect the machine in demanding cutting conditions.
  • Onboard hex-key storage: Keeps the supplied blade-changing tool conveniently stored on the machine.
  • Three-year warranty: Covered by Evolution’s three-year limited warranty for additional peace of mind.
